investigation & determination of cadmium concentration in liver of platycephalus indicus in minab, qeshm island and khamir port (persian gulf)
Authors
abstract
this study was conducted to investigation and determine of cadmium (cd) concentration in the liver of platycephalus indicus (flathead) in minab, qeshm island and khamir port (persian gulf). moreover, the effect of season (winter and summer) and sex (male and female) on cd concentration in flathead were investigated. cd concentration sampling was done in two station (minab, qeshm island and khamir port) and two seasons (winter and summer) (n= 30 for each season in each station). after biometry of flathead, the concentration of cadmium was measured using atomic absorption spectrometry (aas). the results showed that, there were significant differences between stations (minab, qeshm island and khamir port) for the concentration of cadmium in liver of p. indicus (p

Investigation and determination of lead concentration in liver of Platycephalus indicus in Minab, Qeshm Island and Khamir Port (Persian Gulf)
This study was conducted to determine concentration of lead (Pb) in the liver of flathead (Platycephalus indicus) in Minab, Qeshm Island and Khamir Port in the Persian Gulf during winter and summer (n= 30). Concentration of lead was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS). The results showed that, there were significant differences between stations for the concentration of lead in ...

This study was conducted to determine Pb (Pb) and Cd (Cd) concentrations in the liver and muscle of Platycephalus indicus (flathead) in Minab, Qeshm Island and Khamir Port in the Northeastern Persian Gulf. Moreover, the influences of season (winter and summer) and target tissue (liver and muscle) on the Pb and Cd concentrations in flathead were investigated and compared with FAO/WHO standards f...
full textMolecular investigation and DNA Barcoding of Platycephalus indicus from the Persian Gulf
This study aimed to use mitochondrial DNA barcoding method to undrestand better toxanomic status of the Platycephalus indus and find genetic linkage with other reported specimens from different parts of the world as well as to manage the optimal utilization of native species and sustainable conservation. Sampling was performed from coastal waters of Hormozgan province. DNA was extracted from th...

Clupeidae particularly Engraulidae is one of the most valuable supplies in the Persian Gulf, which plays an important role in the ecological and nutritional chain. The present study was done during from October 2015 to September 2016 with the aim of determining the amount of reserves of anchovies and adjusting its sustainable harvest pattern in Qeshm Island. Sampling was carried out in the sout...
full textEstimation and comparison of effective compounds in two algae species identified in Qeshm Island (Persian Gulf)
Estimation and comparison of effective compounds (mineral contents, amino acids compositions, fatty acids distributions, protein, fat and total fiber contents) in two algae species Sirophysalis trinodis and Polycladia myrica collected from Qeshm Island were done. The samples washed up with tap water and then were dried in an oven at 40 ◦C for 3 days. The dried algae samples were pulverized and ...
